Abstract

The volcanic episode in the Cuddapah Basin requires to be given a specific position in the stratigraphic column, as volcanics occupy definite position in time and space. Kuppalapalle Volcanics is the new name proposed for a distinct Upper Papaghni phase of volcanic activity which is post-Vempalle and pre-Pulivendla, representing a sequence of several lava flows.
