Albitized Slates from the Upper Kaladgi (Precambrian) Formations, Lokapur, Bijapur District, Mysore State
Abstract
Detailed studies of the Kaladgi pelites occurring along the contacts of dolerite dykes, near Lokapur reveal interesting metamorphic and metasomatic changes. Due to contact metamorphism the pelities have been metamorphosed into hornfels. They have also been subjected to albitisation and silicification due to metasomatism, as revealed by chemical analyses.Downloads
